Whiteknights Emergency Voluntary Service commenced operations in June 2008. It was founded by recovering cancer patient Vic Siswick, who wanted to put something back into the NHS after his treatment.

From June 2011, the group commenced service in Teeside — the former county of Cleveland — with the launch of Whiteknights (Cleveland).

The group operates four Honda ST1100 Pan European bikes, which cover Leeds, Huddersfield, Calderdale and York.
